Prior to UVA Wise: At Catawba Valley Community College, played in 34 games (17 in conference play), tallying 30 hits (1 double, five home runs) and 22 RBI during his freshman season at CVCC in 2018…scored 23 runs and drew 19 walks with a .297 batting average, .429 on-base percentage and .455 slugging percentage…on defense, Campbell tallied 167 put outs, 12 assists and committed just six errors from his first base position for a .968 fielding percentage ...  Played  prep baseball at Forbush High School for head coach Jack Moss...hit .430 with six home runs and 37 RBI during his senior season...finished his Falcon career with a .415 average and 12 home runs....led Forbush to a 26-4 record as a senior....part of conference championships in 2016 and 2017....also led Forbush to a final eight finish in the state of North Carolina in 2017...also played basketball at Forbush.
