The Latest on Conner (updated 10/23):
It's been a difficult year for Bailey Conner in her sophomore campaign. She's dealt with injuries for most of the season, only playing in seven total matches. Conner last took the floor for UVA Wise on Sep. 26 at Emory & Henry. The Preseason All-Sac Third Team honoree adds versatility and offensive firepower to the Cavaliers' lineup and her team is patiently waiting for her return to play.

Bio:

Conner returns for her sophomore season at UVA Wise after having one of the best freshman campaigns in school history. Despite her inexperience, the Salem, Va. native torched defenses all season long as a freshman. She smashed 154 kills for an average of 2.41 kills/set. Both marks ranked second on the team. Conner also added some strength defensively as she put up four performances with double-digit digs for the Cavs. Her impressive freshman year earned her a spot on the 2023 Preseason All-SAC Third Team.

In high school, Conner caught the eyes of many with her impressive four-year career at Glenvar High School in Salem, Va. In her freshman season, Conner was voted first team all-conference and to the all-region team. She repeated those honors again as a senior while also adding a first team all-state selection. She culminated her high school career with a VHSL Class 2 State Championship season as she helped lead her team to a 23-3 season on the way to the title.

Conner's favorite athlete is American beach volleyball player Kerri Walsh Jennings. She chose to come to UVA Wise because of second-year head coach Alyssa Hanley. 

Conner is the daughter to her mom, Stephanie, and dad, Basil. She has three siblings; sisters Emily and Audrey, while her brother, Hank, played basketball at D3 Pfeiffer University.
