ROCK HILL, SC – 198 UVA Wise student-athletes have been named to the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, the conference announced Thursday. The total represents a new record for UVA Wise since they joined the SAC in 2019.
To be eligible for inclusion on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must have competed in a sponsored championship sport and maintained a GPA of 3.30 or higher throughout the academic year.
Overall, 3,479 student-athletes were on the list, spanning each of the Conference's 13 member institutions and six associate members. This is the sixth straight year that more than 2,000 student-athletes will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in the classroom by the conference.
