MARS HILL, NC – Mars Hill used a second quarter run to grab the lead and held off repeated UVA Wise comeback efforts as the Highland Cavaliers fell at Mars Hill 76-59.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first quarter had several ties and lead changes, with Mars Hill leading by as much as seven before UVA Wise reclaimed the lead to end the period with a jumper from
Macie Ridge.
- Mars Hill opened the second quarter on a 14-0 run and led by 16 at the half.
- They extended the lead to 19 early in the third quarter. UVA Wise made repeated attempts to cut into the lead and chipped it down to eleven before the end of the third period.
- Both teams essentially traded baskets in the third quarter and the Lions held off the Cavs to claim the 76-59 win.
