MARS HILL, NC – A late 10-0 run by the Highland Cavaliers propelled them to the 71-66 win at Mars Hill Wednesday evening.
With the win, UVA Wise is tied for fourth in the South Atlantic Conference standings with Coker going into the final two weeks of the regular season. The Cavs do hold the tiebreaker.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lions pulled out to a small lead and held the 4-6 point advantage until the Cavs went on a 10-0 run in the final two minutes of the half to take a 37-31 lead into halftime.
- UVA Wise extended the lead to eleven points and then held off Lion runs that cut the lead to one on multiple occasions. They never relinquished the lead and free throws by
Bradley Dean and
Patrick Shelley put the game away in the final seconds.
