HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wingate's Cuddy Arena is a very tough place to play as Bulldogs have a 208-9 record at home since the 2009 season coming into tonight's contest. The Bulldogs took an early 2-0 lead, but the Cavs tied it at 4-4 off a kill by Morgan Blevins. Wingate then rolled out a 9-1 run that UVA Wise was never able to overcome as they fell 25-7.

- Set three was a back-and-forth affair, featuring 10 ties and eight lead changes. The last tie came at 18-18, but Wingate then went on a 4-0 run. The Cavs cut it to 24-21, but were unable to complete the comeback and fell 25-21.

Blevins chipped in four kills and four digs, while Piper Suddeth had a team high eight assists to go along with 7 digs. Abigail Curtis had a match-high 15 digs and five assists, while Serina Petersen had a match-high five blocks.
