LYNCHBURG, VA – Wins by
Caleb Yeary and
Patrick Shelley highlight a very successful weekend at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic in Lynchburg.
The men had sixteen top-20 finishes, highlighted by top five finishes in the 100 Meter Dash, Long Jump, High Jump, and Shot Put; and wins in the 100 Meter Dash and High Jump.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
100 Meter Dash –
Caleb Yeary brought home the win with a 10.56 time.
200 Meter Dash – Yeary placed thirteenth in the event with his 22.33 time.
1500 Run – With a time of 4:14.62,
Jonah Adams finished in 20
th place.
4X100 Relay – The relay team placed thirteenth with a time of 43.84.
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
High Jump –
Patrick Shelley won the High Jump for the third time this season, this time with a jump of 6' 6.5".
Colton Mullins placed twelfth with 5' 10.75".
Long Jump – Shelley placed third as he leapt 23' 3.5".
Shot Put –
Hunter Blevins placed fourth with his 45' 0" throw.
Connor Blevins was 17
th with 36' 6.5" while
Bobby Cline placed 18
th with 36' 1.75".
Triple Jump – Mullins jumped for 39' 8.75" to place eleventh.
Javelin –
Zachary Owens placed ninth with a throw of 151' 6.75", Cline finished 16
th with 119' 9", and
Ryan Campbell was 18
th with 114' 10.5".
Hammer Throw –
Hunter Blevins was 14
th with a 131' 4.75" throw.
Discus – Cline threw for 117' 4.5" to finish nineteenth.

The team will again make the trip to Lynchburg, this time to compete in the Randolph College Wildcat Invitational from April 19-20.
