WISE – The UVA Wise women's tennis team returned home to the Jim & Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex for the first time in since March 5 to face Southwest Virginia rival Emory & Henry College Monday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference matchup, where they defeated the Wasps 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Highland Cavaliers swept all three doubles to take the point.

Lucy Cunliffe and
Amelia Monteith claimed the first win at the second flight with a 6-2 result.
- Flights one and three soon followed suit. At no. 1,
Antonella Campodonico and
Constanca Azinhaga sealed the point with their 6-3 win, while
Christina Korakopoulou and
Abiela Wang finished the sweep with their 7-5 victory at the third flight.
- In singles play, the Cavs won at the one, three, four, and six flights to take the match.
- Korakopoulou picked up the 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) win at the third flight, while Campodonico took the 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 victory at the first flight.
- Azinhaga took the 6-3, 6-3 victory at the fourth flight to seal the match win, and at the sixth flight
Kinsey Knox claimed the 6-1, 7-5 win.
