WISE – The UVA Wise men's tennis team returned home to the Jim & Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex for the first time in almost a month to face Southwest Virginia rival Emory & Henry College Monday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference matchup, where they defeated the Wasps 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Highland Cavaliers swept all three doubles to take the point.

Gustavo Marangoni and
Miguel De Rueda claimed the first win at the second flight with a 6-1 result.
- Flights one and three soon followed suit with a pair of 6-3 victories. At no. 3,
Diego Pedrero and
Pierre Djaroueh sealed the point while
Yi-Hsuan Chen and
Daniel Gonzalez Garza finished the sweep with their win at no. 1.
- In singles play, the Cavs won at the three, four, five, and six flights to take the match.
- DeRueda picked up the 6-3, 6-3 win at the third flight while
Vanja Vojinovic took the 6-3, 6-1 victory at no. 4
- Hsin-Huo Hsieh won 6-1, 6-1 at the fifth flight and at the sixth flight Pedrero claimed the first set 6-2 before his opponent retired.
