WISE – The UVA Wise volleyball team will be seeking to solidify their chances for a South Atlantic Conference Tournament berth this week as they make the short trip to Emory & Henry Wednesday before returning home to host Limestone Friday evening in their last home match of the year.
Friday's match will be Senior Day and seniors

The Highland Cavaliers (10-13, 4-10 SAC) are currently tied for ninth in the SAC with Newberry and are one match behind Limestone. The top eight teams go to the SAC Tournament, so from here on out every win helps get you in.
GETTING WISE
- Five Cavs have 100 or more kills on the season –

Morgan Blevins (114). Scarce's 2.95 kills a set ranks her fifth in the SAC.

- Defensively, Curtis is having an outstanding season for digs as she is currently tied for third in the NCAA era with Briana Kerr's 2017 season total of 415. Only Morgan Milligan (466 digs in 2018) and Karley Allen (495 in 2015) have had more digs in a season since the team joined the NCAA in 2012. Curtis' 5.06 digs per set is also the seventh best in program history and the best in the D-II era, ahead of Brittni Altmann's 4.36 in 2014 and Morgan Milligan's 4.36 in 2018. Curtis also is second in the SAC in digs and fifth in digs per set. Scarce (244), Suddeth (223), and
Kamryn Livingston (160) all have more than 150 digs.
- Farley is leading the team and the SAC in blocks with 108 total blocks and 1.33 blocks per set average. She is one solo block away from tying the D-II era record she set last year of 28. She is four block assists behind Santana Bishop's D-II era record of 85 set in 2015.
ABOUT E&H
- The Wasps are currently 4-19 overall and 1-12 in the SAC. They have lost their last four matches and their lone SAC win is a 3-2 match at Coker.
- The Cavaliers won the earlier meeting this season by a 3-0 margin in Wise on October 1. The Wasps still lead the overall series 9-8.
- Brianna Hogan has 179 kills to lead the team, while Grace Duey has 113.
- Logan Newberry leads the team with 309 assists, and Grace Nelson is the leader in aces with 15.
- Defensively, four Wasps have more than 100 digs, led by Libby Bickelhaupt's 378. Nelson is second with 159.
ABOUT LIMESTONE
- The Saints are currently 6-12 overall and 5-10 in the SAC. They are currently ranked eighth and will travel to Wingate Tuesday evening before coming to Wise Friday.
- In the previous meeting, the Saints and Cavs had three close sets before the Saints pulled ahead to take the 3-1 win over UVA Wise on Sept. 20.
- Mia McMillen and Tatum Riddle lead LU offensively with 222 and 217 kills each. Josie Curran also has 165 kills while Mia Martinez has 161.
- Jenna Szabelski is the team's leader in assists with 397.
- Five Saints have 100 or more digs, led by Calie Covey's 293. Riddle has 269, McMillen 195, Szabelski 121, and Kamden Dalton 112.
