WISE, Va. - UVA Wise announced the All-Tournament team for the inaugural Cavalier Classic Monday. Two players from each of the five participating schools were selected for the honor. The coaching staffs for each school voted on and selected the honorees as follows:

For UVA Wise, sophomore outside hitter Morgan Blankenship and senior middle hitter Cassidy Farley were selected to the All-Tournament team. Blankenship scorched opponents offensively in her four matches. She opened the weekend with a career-high 13 kills in a 3-1 loss to Concord University. She then followed that up with an even better career-high of 14 kills against Lees McRae College. Blankenship would total 45 kills while hitting .205 percent on the weekend.

Farley earns All-Tournament team honors after being named SAC Defensive Player of the Week Monday. Farley is the first Cavalier ever to be selected as a conference POTW since UVA Wise joined the SAC in 2018. The lone senior for the Cavs dominated at the net with 21 blocks and also added 24 digs in the four matches.

Concord was the lone undefeated participating member of the Cavalier Classic. Freshman middle hitter Meg Williams and freshman right side Natalie Brown were the selections for the Mountain Lions.Â

Williams was clinical offensively for Concord, finishing the weekend with 61 kills, 26 digs and hitting .233 percent. In Concord's final match, a win over Davis & Elkins University, Williams got the first double-double of her collegiate career with 18 kills and 10 digs. Her eight blocks were also good for third on the team in the tournament.Â

Brown, another freshman from Stafford, Va., was one of the most efficient players in the entire tournament. She slammed 27 kills in 15 sets at a 1.8 kill/set rate. Not to mention she did so hitting at a .296 percent clip.Â

Senior middle hitter Destiny Holley and defensive specialist Lauren Xayavong were Lees McRae's two selected players. Holley had a kills-blocks double-double with 12 and 13 respectively against UVA Wise on Thursday.Â

Xayavong was one of the best defensive specialists as she exploded for 89 total digs in four matches. Lees McRae went 2-2 on the weekend but Xayavong averaged 5.6 digs/set. Her total digs and digs/set were both second best among all tournament players.

For Johnson C. Smith, sophomore middle hitter Anya Valentine and senior libero Monique Reid made the All-Tournament team. Valentine was one of the go-to swingers for the Golden Bulls, finishing with a powerful 25 kills and leading the team with 10 blocks. Reid was strong on the back row for JCSU collecting 48 digs at 3.2 digs/set for her team.Â

Finally, Davis & Elkins had fifth year middle blocker Brittany Portley and senior defensive specialist Simone Daniels as the selections for the Senators. Portley, competing for the first time since 2020 after missing two seasons with a torn ACL, led Davis & Elkins with 25 kills in 10 sets. Daniels was dishing the ball left and right all weekend as she finished with 62 assists. She was responsible for over half of all the Senators' assists.
