LMU (23-16, 10-11 SAC) used a 10-run sixth inning to overcome what was a 5-4 deficit to win the series two games to one.
Cameron Bowen and Andrew Keene homered in the sixth before Kurth homered in the seventh as part of a 16-hit effort for the Railsplitters.
UVA Wise (23-16, 10-11 SAC) went on top with a three-run second inning thanks to a run-scoring hit by Morgan Miller, an RBI groundout by DJ Dickson and a wild pitch.
The Cavs tacked n two more runs in the fourth as Jacob Boyle lined the first homer of his collegiate career and Dickson had an RBI single.
Boyle went 3-for-4 with Dickson, Nick Badgett and Jeb Hurst adding two hits in defeat.
UVA Wise will wrap up the 2023 season this weekend with a three-game set at Wingate.
