WISE - - Visiting Wingate overcame a 20-point, 12-assist outing from UVA Wise's Caitlyn Ross to claim an 87-73 South Atlantic Conference women's basketball victory inside the Prior Center Saturday.

Wingate had a pair of players eclipse 20 points as Bryanna Troutman led all players with 25 points and 16 rebounds while Emily Hedge netted 24 points for the Bulldogs.

Laney Beale added 18 in the win with Hannah Clark tossing in 13 for the victors.

Katlin Burger scored 17 points with Nia Vanzant chipping in 14 points for the Cavaliers.

UVA Wise shot 45.5 percent for the game but was out rebounded 39-to-19.

Next up, the Cavs take on Emory & Henry Wednesday. Tip-off from Emory, Va. is slated for 5:30 p.m.
