WISE — Four Railsplitter starters scoring in double-digits was the key for a Lincoln Memorial 94-69 triumph over UVA Wise on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

Quay Kennedy led Lincoln Memorial (14-1, 5-0 SAC) with 20 points while Chase Rankin put up 19 points and nine rebounds. Me'Kell Burries and Jordan Walters put up 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Back-to-back-to-back three-point buckets from Walters, Kennedy, and Burries set the tone early in the Prior Center for Lincoln Memorial. Ben Bryson responded back with a three-point shot of his own, but a 15-point unanswered run from the Railsplitters gave UVA Wise a run for their money.

With 25 seconds left before the break, a three pointer from Lincoln Memorial's Matthew Sells solidified their largest first half lead at 31.

Out of the break, Lincoln Memorial kept their foot on the gas with a leadoff dunk from Kennedy in the first minute of the second half. After another five minutes in the half, a jumper from Kennedy at the 15:13 mark gave the Railsplitters their largest lead at 36. Despite another Railsplitters run, Bryson led the Cavaliers with three three-pointers and Rron Ukaj produced four field goals in the effort. The Railsplitters ran away with the win, 94-69.

Kervens Yacinthe paced the Cavs with three field goals and 10 shots from the charity stripe. Yacinthes' 16 points matches his career high.

UVA Wise went 22-63 from the field and were held to eight-of-26 from the arc.

Up next, the Cavaliers face non-conference opponent Virginia University of Lynchburg on Saturday in Wise with a 2 PM tipoff.
