WISE, VA — A strong Catawba Indians squad took the win against the UVA Wise men's tennis team on Thursday, April 15 by a score of 7-0.
In doubles, the duo of Paul Dekester and Tyler Juergens held Dominic Hoffman and Luke Jarnagin scoreless by a score of 6-0.
In the next two doubles matchups, Catawba only allowed the Cavs to win two games total as Coleton Burke/John Robert Kilgore fell 6-1 and Dylan Galenski/Siddarth Selvakumar fell to the same score.
Singles play saw eight swept-games from the Indians.
Dekester took the win against Hoffman by a score of 6-1, 6-0 in No. 1 as Juergens won by the same numbers against Burke in No. 2.
The Indians claimed six unanswered game wins at No. 3 and No. 4 as Damir Zababuryn defeated Jarnagin at No. 3, Marko Sudar took down Kilgore at No. 4, Sebastian Zabala swept Galenski at No. 5, and Luca Ricciardi held down Selvakumar.
