WISE, VA — The UVA Wise men's tennis squad suffered a 7-0 shutout against conference opponent Tusculum on Wednesday, April 13 as Tusculum put up eight shutouts on the day.
In doubles, Tusculum (12-7, 9-3 SAC) came out hot with a shutdown of UVA Wise (5-16, 0-10 SAC), keeping them scoreless between three matchups.

RAY/BONACIA VS. GALENKSI/SELVAKUMAR: 6-0
KONDOU/MATSUGUMA VS. KILGORE/BURKE: 6-0
In singles play, Frank Bonacia snagged a swift 6-0, 6-0 win against Dominic Hoffman of the Cavs in the No. 1 spot.
Coleton Burke made headway for the Cavs in the No. 2 spot against Kenta Kondou, but fell 6-1, 6-1.
Nathan Matsugma took the win against Luke Jarnagin in an 8-1 effort. Next, Miles Ray kept John Robert Kilgore scoreless in a 6-0, 6-0 defeat in the No. 4 spot on the day, while Ivan Ivars took an 8-1 win from Dylan Galenski in the five spot. Finishing it off, F. Valasquez Quintana defeated Siddarth Selvakumar in a 6-1, 6-0 dual.
The Cavaliers are back home to face Catawba College on Thursday, April 14.
