HARROGATE, Tenn. - - The UVA Wise men's tennis team dropped a pair of South Atlantic Conference matches this weekend. Saturday, Wingate scored a 7-0 triumph before Lincoln Memorial repeated the performance with a 7-0 win Sunday.
Against Wingate, UVA Wise picked up three games in singles play. All three of the games were won by Luke Jarnagin who lost 6-2, 6-1 to Peter Basic Palkovic. In doubles action, the team of Dominic Hoffman and Jarnagin was defeated 6-1 by Luka Brown and Hugo Nossler while Coleton Burke and John Robert Kilgore suffered a 6-1 setback to Basic Palkovic and Matteo Gostoli.
The team fared better against LMU as Dominic Hoffman lost 6-1, 6-1, Coleton Burke was defeated 6-1, 6-2, Luke Jarnagin dropped an 8-2 decision as did Dylan Galenski and Siddarth Selvakumar  fell 6-2, 6-0. Meanwhile, John Robert Kilgore was defeated 6-1, 6-0.
Coach Roger Whited's crew scored four games in doubles action with the team of Hoffman and Jarnagin along with the Galenski and Selvakumar teams each winning a game while Burke and Kilgore teamed up to pick up two games at No. 2 doubles.
The team returns to play Friday at Newberry College.
