WISE, VA — UVA Wise sophomore trio

Kaylee Scarce have been named to the Division II College Sport Communicators Volleyball Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Communicators organization announced today.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Blevins, a sophomore from Abingdon, Va., is a Nursing major at the college and recorded a 3.87 GPA as of November 2022. On the court, the outside hitter played in 64 sets and recorded 77 kills this year.
Hannah McAmis, a sophomore from Wise, Va., is a Communications major at the college, recorded a 3.81 GPA as of November 2022, and is a member of UVA Wise's SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee). The libero/defensive specialist recorded 121 total digs on the year.
Kaylee Scarce, a sophomore from Dry Fork, Va., is a Business Information Systems major at the college and recorded a 3.7 GPA as of November 2022. The outside hitter led the volleyball team in total kills (193) and total digs (192) in the 2022 season. Scarce recorded a career-high 22 kills against Newberry on October 7, 2022.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.
