CAVS TAKE DOWN BOBCATS, WIN BY 25

BRISTOL, TENN. — A double-double performance from Bradley Dean along with teammates Luke Lawson, Joe'l Pettiford, and Zion Fruster in the double-digits was the recipe for success in UVA Wise's 90-65 win over Lees-McRae in the CC/SAC Challenge finale on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Cavs (2-0, 0-0 SAC) never once lost the lead in the first half. as Luke Lawson, Bradley Dean, and Joe'l Pettiford stole the show with a combined 25 points and seven rebounds. Lees-McRae (1-1, 0-0 CC) struggled to keep up, falling behind as much as 22 points with less than five minutes to go in the half and only shooting a 9.1% from the arc.

After the break, the Cavaliers immediately added to their lead with a jumper from Luke Lawson to put them ahead by 17. Pettiford put up a dunk with the assist by Dean to put the Cavs ahead by 23 - a lead that wouldn't falter until the final buzzer.

The Bobcats only sank three three pointers out of 15 attempts in the second half, and shot below fifty-percent from the field.

The Cavs finished the night going 57-percent from the field. Lawson led the night with 19 points, two blocks and six rebounds.

The Cavs are back in action for a five-game homestand starting with Pfeiffer on Nov. 15 at 6:00 PM.
