MEN'S TENNIS TRUCKS TO 6-0 RECORD WITH WIN OVER KING

BRISTOL, TENN. — The UVA Wise men's tennis team kept their win streak going as they defeated the King Tornado today in a swift 6-1 triumph at the King University Tennis Complex today, Oct. 9.

In doubles, the Cavs (6-0) found no trouble against King (0-1) opponents — as Miguel De Rueda and Gustavo Marangoni took home the 6-3 No. 1 win and Vanja Vojinovic and Dominik Thuri-Nagy squeezed out a 7-5 win at No. 2. Dominic Hoffman and Fabian Segrada were able to take a win due to a King no-player in the No. 3 spot.

Singles play wasn't a difficult task for the Cavs either, as their squad only lost one singles matchup at No. 2.

King fell behind two quickly as they had two no-players at No. 5 and No. 6. Thuri-Nagy, Marangoni, and Vojinovic brought home the gold against King's Alex Sodre, Andre Schiabel and Mat Viera at No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 to solidify a 6-1 overall win.

With the win, the UVA Wise men's tennis squad sits at 6-0 and mark their best record since 2015-16 (the Cavs went 11-9 in the 2015-16 season).
