WISE - - UVA Wise announced its 2022 baseball schedule Wednesday. First-year Head Coach Brandon Costa's club is slated to open the year with 20 consecutive road games beginning Feb. 4 when the squad opens a three-game series at Southern Wesleyan (S.C.).

Overall, the season-opening road trip features games with local rivals King and Emory & Henry along with the South Atlantic Conference opening series at Coker. The Cavaliers will play at home for the first time on March 11 when Newberry comes to Stallard Field for a three-game weekend slate.

Costa's crew will play 12 consecutive games in Wise once returning home. In addition to Newberry, the home stand features a weekend series with Lincoln Memorial University and non-conference contests with Concord University and Salem University.
