CHARLESTON, W. Va. - - Men's tennis dropped its road match against the University of Charleston, 7-0, Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles won the doubles point after sweeping the Cavs (0-13, 0-7 MEC) in all three doubles matches.
At No. 1 singles, sophomore Coleton Burke was swept 6-0 while freshman Dominic Hoffman fell 6-0, 6-1 at number two. Freshman Luke Jarnagin dropped his match by a score of 6-1, 6-1 to Charleston with junior John Hamilton being defeated at the No. 4 position, 6-1, 6-0. Junior Daniel Laughlin and senior Jakub Blach were each swept by the Golden Eagles, 6-0, at the No. 5 and No. 6 spot, respectively.
UVa-Wise returns to action tomorrow on the road at West Virginia State. First serve is slated for 10 a.m.
