WISE - - In a non-conference home match on Wednesday afternoon, the Cavaliers fell 6-1 to Emory and Henry College at the Jim and Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex.
Despite a 6-2 win at the No. 1 doubles position by sophomore Coleton Burke and freshman Dominic Hoffman, the Cavs lost the doubles point to Emory and Henry. Freshman Luke Jarnagin and junior John Hamilton fell 6-3 at the No. 2 position, while junior Daniel Laughlin and senior Jakub Blach were defeated at the No. 3 position by a 6-0 score.
In singles play, Jarnagin earned the Cavs first win since September with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 position. The victory was also Jarnigan's first career win in singles play.
