WINCHESTER, Va. - - The Cavaliers were shutout in a morning match at Millersville University on Sunday as they fell 7-0 to the Marauders.
The Marauders started off the match by sweeping the doubles point, with sophomore Coleton Burke and freshman Luke Jarnagin falling at the No. 1 position and junior Daniel Laughlin and senior Jakub Blach falling at the No. 3 position both by 6-1 scores. Freshman Dominic Hoffman and junior John Hamilton were defeated 6-0 at the No. 2 position.
In singles play, Jarnagin was defeated 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 3 position. Burke, Hoffman, Hamilton, Laughlin and Blach each fell 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions respectively.Â
The Cavaliers will return to Wise in search of their first win on Wednesday afternoon when they host King University at 4. Saturday will be Senior Day for the Cavaliers as they host Salem University at 12 p.m.
