MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - - UVa-Wise men's tennis fell to Milligan College on the road Saturday afternoon, 8-1.

The Cavs' Coleton Burke and Dominic Hoffman played at the No. 1 doubles spot where they were defeated, 8-1, by the Buffs' Mason Grear and Taylor Graalman, while UVa-Wise's Luke Jarnigan and John Hamilton fell to Milligan's Griffin Leonard and Joe Lyttle at the No. 2 spot, 8-1. The Buffs were awarded the win at the number three position by default as they took a 3-0 lead going into singles matches.

Burke fell to the Buffs' Grear, 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 1 singles spot, while Hoffman was defeated, 6-1, 6-1, by Milligan's Graalman at the number two spot. At the No. 3 position, Jarnigan dropped his match to the Buffs' Leonard, 6-0, 6-2, while Hamilton picked up the Cavs sole victory of the day at the No. 4 spot with a 2-6, 6-3, 10-3 tiebreaker win over Milligan's Lyttle. The Cavs' Daniel Laughlin was outlasted by the Buffs' Thomas Hurt at the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-1, while Milligan earned another default win at the No. 6 singles position.

The Cavs will be back in action next Saturday as they take on Mars Hill University in a 1 p.m. road match.
