WISE, Va. – UVa-Wise women's tennis players Bailey Christoforatos and Montana Hill have been named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes for the 2015-16 school year, the organization announced Monday. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.

Christoforatos, a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia (Spotsylvania H.S.), just completed her junior year at the College and posted a 3.92 GPA as a psychology major. Bailey played No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Cavaliers this past season, posting an 8-7 overall doubles mark with teammate Daria Tyshchenko.

A native of Riner, Virginia (Auburn H.S.), Hill was a freshman this past year and earned a 3.90 GPA as an undeclared major.

Christoforatos and Hill were named to the All-Mountain East Conference Academic Team for fall 2015, and each appeared on the UVa-Wise Dean's List for the fall and spring semesters in 2015-16.
