"It's always good to come away with two wins", Head Coach Kristen Salyer said about the day's matches. "For the most part we controlled the tempo of the matches and stayed focused. I think we can still improve on our consistency. We let ourselves get in a hole in the third set with Pfeiffer and had to fight back to take that one. We had several kids step up all day and make big plays in tight situations so that's something to continue to build from. "

Allen earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Falcon Classic after tallying 60 kills, 44 digs and recording an attack percentage of .319 over the four matches this weekend. Kain was named to the Falcon Classic All-Tournament team after making 28 kills and eight digs across 11 sets played this weekend, including hitting .417 in the match against Pfeiffer.

The Cavs will have a couple days of rest before heading to Brevard, North Carolina, to take on Brevard College Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m.

Following Tuesday's match, UVa-Wise will continue on the road taking part in the Davis and Elkins Tournament in Elkins, West Virginia, which gets underway Friday.
