Box Score WISE, Va. – The UVa-Wise women's volleyball team remained unbeaten in Mountain East Conference play and at home this season with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-17) win over Glenville State College Friday night inside the David J. Prior Convocation Center.

The Cavaliers (9-7, 5-0 MEC) are now on a three-match win streak and have won six of their past seven matches. UVa-Wise has won seven consecutive matches at home spanning back to last season, the Cavs last loss in Wise came on Oct. 24 of 2014 against nationally ranked Wheeling Jesuit University.

UVa-Wise dominated the match against the Lady Pioneers (1-16, 0-5 MEC) and did not let Glenville State record more than 17 points in any set.

Claiming the opening set by a convincing score of 25-12, the Cavs won 10 of the sets' final 12 points. After quickly falling behind 6-2 in the second set, the Cavs regained control and evened up the set at seven-all before steadily pulling away from the Lady Pioneers and mounting a 20-10 lead. UVa-Wise took the second set 25-14 and went right back to work in the third. Unlike the second set the Cavs led the whole time in the final set with the exception of the first point, jumping out to an early 10-5 lead before winning the set 25-17 to claim the match.

Karley Allen remained impressive, leading the Cavs with 12 kills, 13 digs and five aces. Freshman middle blocker
Amanda Auxier had a strong game, hitting .571 and tallying eight kills, while freshman outside hitter
Ciara Kain made seven kills. Junior middle blockers
Lindsey Tucker and
Santana Bishop had strong performances as well, each registering six kills as Bishop hit .556 and Tucker hit .417.

Chandler Rouse made 37 assists on the night, while freshman outside hitter
Sierra Gardner came off the bench and registered four kills with an attack percentage of .500.

The Cavs recorded an attack percentage of .360 for the match while holding the Lady Pioneers to hitting .129. UVa-Wise made 44 kills in the three sets and held Glenville State to just 28 total. The Cavs tallied 52 digs and 41 assists to go along with two team blocks and eight service aces, while the Lady Pioneers registered 44 digs, 28 assists and two service aces.

Rachel Morris led Glenville State with seven kills and 14 digs as Cassidy Clark also dished in seven kills and two aces. The Lady Pioneers got 20 assists from Allison Parski.

The Cavs will now have less than 24 hours before they host the Lady Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan inside the Prior Center tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m., finishing up the Cavs' three-match homestand.
