FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Host Fairmont State took advantage of 19 attack errors by UVa-Wise en route to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-16) Mountain East Conference victory on Saturday.

Fairmont State's Tabbie Bias led all players with 23 assists while teammate Tiff Smathers recorded a match-high 20 digs in the league win.

UVa-Wise (3-6, 0-2 MEC) received 21 assists from Ashley Hooven and 12 digs from Brittni Altmann in defeat.  

The Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday when Bluefield State visits the Prior Center.
