ELKINS, W.Va. – On day two of the Davis and Elkins Invitational UVa-Wise fell short in both matches. The Senators defeated the Cavaliers 25-22, 22-25, 25-19, 25-23. In the finale, coach Kristen Salyer's team dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-15) match against Seton Hill University.

Karley Allen led the Cavs with 27 kills on the day while Veronica Sanchez handed out 29 assists. As a team, UVa-Wise struggled hitting, in its first match the team posted a .129 hitting percentage before hitting just .028 in its loss to Seton Hill.

UVa-Wise will return home to the Prior Center on Tuesday for a match against Salem International at 6:30 pm.
