Storylines – The UPike GameSaturday's game will pit two teams who enter with momentum.  The Cavaliers have won back-to-back games to start league play 2-0 for the first time since 2005-2006.  The Bears are 6-2 and are coming off a 91-79 win at Alice Lloyd. UPike has been led by Khalilah Quigley who is averaging 15.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists a game. Most recently she scored 24 points at Alice Lloyd, boosted by 16 made free throws. In the early going, the Bears have shot the ball well; led by Shekinah Gibson's 57.1 shooting percentage from the floor, UPike shoots 45.7 percent as a team.
About UVa-WiseMonday's victory at Notre Dame College required a complete team effort by the Cavaliers. Nine players played for UVa-Wise and all nine scored. 
Blair Harding led all players with 21 points, she has scored in double figures in each of her first four games at UVa-Wise, including a pair of 20 points or more performances.  The guard is the team's leading scorer at 17.3 points a game and its leading rebounder at 5.5 rebounds a night. Taylor Sandidge battled foul trouble at Notre Dame but still managed to post nine points. In her absence, freshman 
Allison Ball came off the bench to net a season-high 11 points on 4-4 shooting. The Cavaliers have relied heavily on their defense and their ability to score at the foul line through their first four games. Opponents are shooting just 24.2 percent from beyond the 3-point line against UVa-Wise while 
Kristin Kunzman's squad is shooting a Mountain East Conference best 73.8 percent from the free throw line.  On average, the Cavs are making 14.8 foul shots a contest.
