WISE - -  UVa-Wise won its third consecutive match on Friday with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-18) victory over West Virginia State at the Prior Center.  Karley Allen posted a double-double in the win with 13 kills and 12 digs to lead the Cavaliers.

UVa-Wise's (10-9, 4-5 MEC) victory was highlighted by solid play by numerous players. In addition to Allen's solid performance, Santana Bishop had five kills against just one error, Maicee Allen had four kills without an error, Lindsey Tucker had eight kills against just two errors, and Veronica Sanchez and Ashley Hooven each had 15 assists.

Brittni Altmann joined Allen in the double-digit digs column with 14 digs and the Cavs turned in six blocks as a team.

Anneelise Albrecht led West Virginia State (4-17, 2-8 MEC) with 25 assists and Brooke Cieslewski had 17 digs in defeat.

UVa-Wise will be back in action on Saturday morning at 10 am when the University of Charleston visits the PriorCenter.
