WISE - - Urbana University won the first two sets and held off a UVa-Wise rally to post a 3-1 (25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19) Mountain East Conference win at the Prior Center on Friday.

Urbana's (9-9, 6-1 MEC) Katlynn Dunlap led all players with 24 kills to lead a trio of Blue Knights with double-digits kills.  Katlin Kremer registered 13 kills and Kelsey Volkmer posted 11 kills in the road win. Setter Mary Hendricks was the beneficiary of the solid hitting day as she posted a match-high 51 assists for Urbana.

UVa-Wise (7-9, 2-5 MEC) received a team-high 20 kills from Karley Allen while Brittni Altmann collected a team-high 14 digs.  Ashley Hooven, 23, and Veronica Sanchez 18 combined for 51 assists for the Cavaliers.

Coach Kristen Salyer's squad will be back in action at home tomorrow morning against Notre Dame for another MEC contest.
