WISE - - This Saturday will mark Senior Day 2013 as 11 seniors will play their final home game in the Red and Gray.  Among the group of 11 are two UVa-Wise record holders, James Long and Paul Melshen.  A week ago, Long hauled in nine receptions for 76 yards to move past Jason Lovett for the single-season receiving record with 1,119 yards.  Melshen entered the season as the school's all-time leader in made field goals, he's increased his career total to 26 with six makes in 2013.

The Senior Day opponent is West Liberty University who enters the contest on a three-game losing streak.  The Hilltoppers rank fifth in the MEC in scoring defense at 20.8 points allowed per contest but struggle offensivley averaging just 13.4 points per game to rank 10th in the 11 member league.  Individually, West Liberty's Marquis Bradley leads the defense with 65 tackles to rank eighth in the MEC.Bradley's 39 solo stops are good enough for third in the MEC.

Rod White has also been a big contributor on defense having picked off four passes to rank third in the league.  On offense, Dylan LaGarde has thrown for 1,233 yards and Marty Bishop has rushed for 415 yards to guide the Hilltoppers.

UVa-Wise enters the game looking for back-to-back home wins.  Most recently, the Cavs defeated West Virginia State 18-10, two weeks ago at Smith Stadium.  Despite just one win, UVa-Wise has played much better at home on defense.  On the season, the Cavs are allowing 22.8 points per game at home while allowing 49 points per game on the road.
