WISE, Va. - - The inaugural Mountain East Conference Volleyball Tournament will begin this Tuesday at on campus sites.  Head Coach Kristen Salyer's #12 seed Cavaliers will open tournament play at #5 seed Shepherd University at 7 pm on Tuesday.  The Rams upended the Cavs 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-19) in Wise on Sept. 28 in the only regular season meeting between the two schools.

Regular season champion Wheeling Jesuit University along with Fairmont State University, the University of Charleston, and West Virginia Wesleyan College all received first round byes and will advance to the quarterfinal round. 

Other first round matches that will take place on Tuesday include #11 seed Notre Dame College at #6 seed West Liberty University, #10 Glenville State College at #7 seed Concord University, and #9 seed West Virginia State University at #8 seed Urbana University.
