Box Score INSTITUTE, W.Va. - - Host West Virginia State posted a 3-0 (25-23, 25-6, 25-12) Mountain East Conference volleyball match over UVa-Wise on Friday.  The victorious Yellow Jackets (8-10, 4-4 MEC) picked up 11 kills each from Haley Kirby and Anneelise Albrecht and used a 13-2 run in the second set to defeat the Cavaliers (6-14, 1-7 MEC).

Brittni Altmann led UVa-Wise with 14 digs and Lindsey Tucker finished with a team-best six kills.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday when the team takes on the University of Charleston.
