Jonesville native Makenzie Cluesman has been a force for the women’s basketball team since returning from injury. In her last six games, the junior has averaged 14.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. To close the month, the guard recorded consecutive double-doubles as the Cavaliers claimed wins over Shepherd University and Fairmont State University. Against Shepherd, Cluesman posted 12 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists to finish two assists shy of recording the first triple-double by a women’s basketball player since joining NCAA Division II.

This season, the former Lee High School standout is averaging 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field. Cluesman has made 16 of her last 31 3-point field goal attempts to raise her 3-point field goal percentage to 42.6 percent this season.
