A senior distance runner, Wilkins earned first-team All-MEC honors at the MEC Championship meet on Oct. 24 after claiming a fifth-place finish in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 28:54.1. Wilkins was the fastest Cavalier in the race as he led the men's cross country team to a fifth-place team finish at the conference championship in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

The Fredericksburg, Virginia (Riverbend H.S.), native was named MEC Male Runner of the Week for the second time this season on Oct. 13 after running a personal best 8K race at the Royals Challenge meet in Charlotte, North Carolina. The junior ran the course in a time of 26:19 to place 40th among all NCAA non-Division I runners and 74th overall in a race that featured a total of 345 runners from NCAA Division I, II and III teams.

Earlier this month Wilkins helped lead the Cavs to a team title at the Hagan Stone Classic in Kernersville, North Carolina, by taking home fourth place in the 8K race.
