Women’s lacrosse sophomore Kristin Gobbi was named Female Cavalier of the Month for March. Gobbi led the team with 19 goals in the month while having a .452 shooting percentage.

Gobbi had a pair of six goal games during the month to establish a new single-game record for the women’s lacrosse program. The Haymarket, Virginia, product first scored six goals in an 18-5 win over Lee University before matching the feat in a 17-5 triumph over Tennessee Wesleyan.
 
The former Battlefield High School standout leads UVa-Wise with 25 goals on the season while ranking third in points with 28. She was named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week earlier this year after aiding her team to victories over Tusculum College and Lees-McRae College.

The Cavalier of the Month honor is the first of her career.
