Coach Bryant is in his first season as an assistant on the UVA-Wise football staff. He will coach as a Defensive Line Assistant. He comes to UVA-Wise most recently after finishing his collegiate football career and graduating from Carson-Newman. He played at Carson-Newman from 2021-2025 and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sport Management.

While at Carson-Newman, Bryant appeared in over 30 games as a Defensive Tackle and registered 10 starts at that position. While a member of Carson-Newman’s football team, the Eagles won the Mountain Division and were the SAC Championship Runner Ups and also reached the NCAA playoffs his senior season.

Prior to Carson-Newman University, Bryant attended North Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia. At North Forsyth High School, he was a three year letter winner on the football team and was named team captain his senior season. Bryant was named first-team All-Region in 2019 and 2020, with an All-State Honorable Mention in 2020. Bryant was also a member of the All-State Academic Team. He also was a member of the track & field team where he threw shot put and discus.
