The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Dana Sibrel is in her seventh year at UVA Wise and her fourth as the College’s head athletic trainer. In addition to overseeing the athletic training efforts for all 13 sports offered by UVa-Wise, Sibrel serves as the primary trainer for the sports of women's basketball and baseball. She is a certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor and helps facilitate the CPR certification of all athletic staff members.

Previously, Sibrel served as a graduate assistant at fellow Mountain East Conference member Concord University.

While at Concord, Sibrel worked primarily with the volleyball, men’s soccer and baseball programs while pursuing her master’s degree. She is certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professions, West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy and the American Red Cross. In addition, she is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Virginia Athletic Trainers Association, West Virginia Trainers Association and Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers (District 3).

Sibrel obtained a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Indiana State University before completing her master’s degree in health promotion at Concord University.
