Former Cavalier Hannah Powers will serve as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball program this season. Powers was a three-year letter winner at UVa-Wise and had a career-year as a junior when she averaged 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
In her inaugural coaching role, Powers will aid Coach Kunzman in all aspects of the program including film breakdown, scouting, game preparation, and individual skill development.
Powers graduated from UVa-Wise with a degree in communications and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine.
