Ally Repko has been named as the newest assistant coach for the UVA Wise softball program, Co-Head Coach Karen Bitter announced on August 9, 2022.

"We feel very blessed to have the opportunity to add Ally [Repko] to our staff," Bitter said about the new hire. "She has this innate ability to connect to the people she is around and will be able to assist our program in all areas of the game. She is coming off an amazing career at Elon and at Virginia Tech, and I am excited to see her impact on our program."

Repko comes to UVA Wise after recently finishing her last year of eligibility at Virginia Tech, making 30 game appearances and aiding the Hokies in a Super Regional run.

Previously, Repko completed four years at Elon University in North Carolina and earned several all-conference honors, including: CAA All-Rookie team as a freshman (2018), CAA All-Tournament team as a sophomore (2019), and All-CAA first team, CAA All-Tournament team as a senior (2021). In her career at Elon, she tallied a .278 batting average, 27 homers, and 93 RBI. In addition, Repko made 166 starts in a career-total 167 games. 

As a senior with the Phoenix, Repko led her team in RBI (34) and home runs (9) while making all 39 game starts. Notably, Repko put up an impressive .670 slugging percentage and was placed second in the CAA in overall walks (31).

Repko hails from Broadway, Va., and was a three-time All-State honoree on the Broadway High School softball team.

Repko will begin coaching duties for UVA Wise in the upcoming 2023 season.
