The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Casey Gerber enters into her fifth year as a member of the UVA Wise athletic training staff after being hired in August of 2016. Gerber serves as a trainer for the men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse teams, while also assisting with men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s golf. In the fall of 2018, Gerber added ROTC responsibilities to her plate as she serves as the program's only athletic trainer.
 
Prior to coming to the College, Gerber served as an assistant athletic trainer at Bluefield College (Va.). While at Bluefield, Gerber worked with men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, baseball, cheerleading, women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.
 
Gerber is certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Virginia Board of Medicine and is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. Additionally, Gerber is a certified CPR, First Aid and AED Instructor. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Concord University in 2013 and her master’s in health promotion from Concord in 2016.
