The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Dante Worley joins UVA Wise as one of four freshman on the Cavalier roster this season. Worley comes from Virginia High School in Bristol, Va. Worley was a two-sport athlete for the Bearcats, excelling in both football and basketball. In football, he played wide receiver on varsity for his final year, recording 8 receptions for 62 yards with a touchdown. On the hardwood, Worley stood out as a career 1,000 point scorer in just three varsity seasons as he participated on the junior varsity team as a freshman. His senior season earned him the award of Southwest Virginia Boys Basketball Player of the Year, All-SWD First Team, and VHSL Region 2D Player of the Year.

Worley's favorite athlete is Memphis Grizzlies point guard Derrick Rose and his favorite thing to do outside of basketball is hangout with his friends.

He is a son to his mom, Janeen, and his dad, Robert. Worley has two siblings, a sister, Breanna, and a brother, Deondre.
