WASHINGTON, DC – The George Washington University Revolutionaries used a late first half run to break open the game and go on to defeat the UVA Wise men's basketball team 102-62 Sunday afternoon.

The game is an exhibition game for the Highland Cavaliers, so their stats do not count and the game does not count in the win-loss total.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half had several ties and lead changes before a basket and free throw from Evan Ramsey put UVA Wise ahead 20-15 with 7:46 left in the half. GW would then go on a 17-2 run to grab the lead and later extend it to 40-27 at the half.
- The Revolutionaries slowly pulled ahead throughout the second half, going ahead by 44 points before the Cavs cut into the lead late. GW would hold on for the 102-62 win.
- Dayan Nassah led GW with 19 points. Darren Buchanan Jr and Rafael Castro each had 14 points, and three other players scored ten points apiece. Castro led all players with 14 rebounds.
- Bradley Dean led the Cavs with 17 points. Lav Cvetkovic' chipped in 14 points.
- Evan Ramsey had seven rebounds to lead the Cavs, while Dean and Cvetkovic' had five rebounds each.

After a break for Christmas, the team will return to the court on January 4, 2025, when they travel to Wingate for a 4 p.m. South Atlantic Conference game.
