ANDERSON, SC – In a game with 10 lead changes and three ties, in the end it was Anderson who pulled ahead in the final minute to escape with the 71-66 win over the UVA Wise men's basketball team Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The lead changed several times early on until the Trojans went on an 8-1 run. They maintained a five to seven point cushion until 2:30 left in the half, when
Bradley Dean's three-pointer put the Cavs ahead 31-29. The Trojans then hit a three-pointer of their own but back to back layups by
Calen Lightford and
Patrick Shelley gave the Cavs the 35-32 lead at the half.
- UVA Wise extended the lead to 44-37 and weathered several runs by AU until the Trojans were able to tie the game at 55-55 with 9:18 remaining. They then took a six point lead only to see the Cavs go on an 11-0 run that was capped by a pair of
Evan Ramsey free throws with 3:14 left in the game. Anderson cut the lead to one with 1:26 left on the clock, and took the lead with 34 second left. The Cavs were working for a shot on the next possession when they were called for the offensive foul, turning the ball over. Anderson then hit their free throws down the stretch and held on for the 71-66 win.
- Cole Middleton led the Trojans with 13 points, while Sentinel Moore chipped in 11 points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

UP NEXT
The team has a quick turnaround as they host Carolina Christian in a noon matinee game Monday. It will be Kids' Day and children from several local schools will be attending the game. There is no admission charge for the game and the general public are encouraged to attend. They then have another quick turnaround as Mars Hill comes to town for a Wednesday SAC tilt that tips off at 7:30 p.m.
