NOTES TO KNOW
• The South Atlantic Conference's top two rebounding teams meet Wednesday inside the Prior Center. Mars Hill's +12.8 rebounding advantage per game leads the league while UVA Wise ranks second at +10.1
• UVA Wise fifth-year Caitlyn Ross continues to move school and conference all-time leaderboards. The guard is now ninth in school history with 1,449 points thanks to scoring in double-figures nine consecutive games while her 711 assists are the most at UVA Wise and rank third in league history.  
• Sixth-year Head Coach Jamie Cluesman can become the winningest women's basketball coach at the Prior Center with a win over the Lions. Cluesman is currently 40-26 in games played inside the building, tied with former Cavalier Head Coach Krisitn Kunzman for the most in Prior Center history.
• Second-year Mars Hill Head Coach Emry Tsitouris is turning the Lions around. Before her arrival, Mars Hill had won just 10 games over the previous five seasons combined. A year ago, the Lions posted seven wins and enter Wednesday's game having already collected six victories this season.
• Freshman Sarah Burton has become a consistent scoring threat for the Cavs. The guard has reached double-figures in four straight games, averaging 15.8 points per game over the stretch.
• Mars Hill's Maddie Gillie has been one of the more prolific 3-pointer shooters in the country. Gillie leads the league and ranks third nationally in made triples with 37 this winter.
• Wednesday's game starts a stretch of 16-of-17 against SAC opponents to close the season for UVA Wise.
