TIPOFF TIDBITS - TUSCULUM

- The Tusculum Pioneers find themselves in a Mountain division gridlock as TJ Burton's squad sit with a 6-6 record, tied with Limestone and only a game ahead of UVA Wise and Emory & Henry as the regular season clock is ticking.

- The Pioneers enter Wednesday's matchup after a tough 22-point loss to Emory & Henry, 90-68. The Tusculum squad was held to only 37.9-percent from field goal range and were outrebounded 44-31. Tusculum leading scorer Inady Legiste only put up 10 points in the contest.

- Just the week prior, Tusculum took down the conference leader Lincoln Memorial in a last-minute 80-78 victory in Pioneer Arena — the only SAC loss that Lincoln Memorial has suffered thus far.

- As a team, Tusculum's biggest weakness is their three-point shot — the Pioneers sit in second to last in the conference with a 29.6 three-point field goal percentage.

- Rron Ukaj led the Cavaliers with 14 points and six field goals. Dean added 12 points and went five-for-11 from the field, while Luke Lawson and Calen Lightford each added 10 points.

- This will be the 40th overall meeting between the Cavaliers and the Pioneers. In the last meeting, Tusculum barely squeezed out the win, 64-61, on December 7, 2022 in Greeneville.
