TIPOFF TIDBITS - TUSCULUM
- The Tusculum Pioneers find themselves in a Mountain division gridlock as TJ Burton's squad sit with a 6-6 record, tied with Limestone and only a game ahead of UVA Wise and Emory & Henry as the regular season clock is ticking.
- The Pioneers enter Wednesday's matchup after a tough 22-point loss to Emory & Henry, 90-68. The Tusculum squad was held to only 37.9-percent from field goal range and were outrebounded 44-31. Tusculum leading scorer Inady Legiste only put up 10 points in the contest.
- Just the week prior, Tusculum took down the conference leader Lincoln Memorial in a last-minute 80-78 victory in Pioneer Arena — the only SAC loss that Lincoln Memorial has suffered thus far.
- As a team, Tusculum's biggest weakness is their three-point shot — the Pioneers sit in second to last in the conference with a 29.6 three-point field goal percentage.

Inady Legiste: The junior forward ranks second in points per game in the conference with 16.8 and snags a SAC-leading 9.6 rebounds per game
Connor Jordan: the junior guard averages 11.4 points per game and 3.2 boards per game for the Pioneers, dropped 21 points against No. 3-ranked Lincoln Memorial
UVA WISE NEWS & NOTES
- UVA Wise comes into Wednesday after falling to Newberry by a score of 79-60. The Cavaliers lost their steam in the second half and finished shooting below a 40-percent from the field (38.6) — their poorest shooting performance since their Lincoln Memorial matchup on January 1.
- Rron Ukaj led the Cavaliers with 14 points and six field goals. Dean added 12 points and went five-for-11 from the field, while Luke Lawson and Calen Lightford each added 10 points.
- This will be the 40th overall meeting between the Cavaliers and the Pioneers. In the last meeting, Tusculum barely squeezed out the win, 64-61, on December 7, 2022 in Greeneville.
