NOTES TO KNOW
• UVA Wise has out rebounded each of its first five opponents and enters Saturday's game +13.2 in rebounding margin. The number leads the South Atlantic Conference and ranks ninth nationally.
• Behind Caitlyn Ross' 31 assists this season, the Cavs are averaging a league-leading 17.2 assists per game.
• Katlin Burger is coming off a double-double performance in UVA Wise's win at King Wednesday. The junior netted 18 points and grabbed a career-best 13 rebounds in her first double-double of the season.
• Saturday's game pits the top two 3-point defensive units in the league. Limestone is holding opponents to 22.3 percent shooting from distance while UVA Wise is limiting teams to 27.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
• Both teams are effective when reaching the free throw line. The Saints make 82.8 percent of their attempts to lead the SAC while the Cavs sink 79.1 percent of their attempts to rank third in the conference.
• This is the fifth all-time meeting between UVA Wise and Limestone, the home team has won each of the first four meetings.
• Reagan Kargo and Kalisha Hill have been lethal at the foul line. Kargo is a perfect 23-for-23 while Hill has made more free throws (28) than anyone else in the SAC.
• Since joining the SAC, Limestone is 1-2 in league openers. The Saints lone win in a league opener came in 2021 when the team claimed a 75-68 win over the Cavs.
